Dog Beach Name: Buchanan Dog Beach
Directions: Located at 24 Buchanan St Ex, Berkeley, CA 94701. This area of the East Bay is part of what is commonly known as the Albany Bulb. Dogs are allowed off-leash on the beach.

Bolinas

Dog Beach Name: Agate Beach Park
Directions: This 6.6 acre beach, near the town of Bolinas, provides access to almost two miles of ocean shoreline at low tide. Dogs on a leash are allowed on the beach.

Dog Beach Name: Dillon Beach
Directions: 45 min. - 1 hr. north of San Francisco in the Bay Area. Dogs are allowed off-leash on the beach if they are under voice control.

Half Moon Bay Area

Dog Beach Name: Maverick's Beach
Directions: Maverick's or Mavericks is located approximately 2 miles from shore in Pillar Point Harbor just north of Half Moon Bay at the village of Princeton-By-The-Sea. Dogs are allowed on the beach.

Dog Beach Name: Montara State Beach
Directions: Located 8 miles north of Half Moon Bay on Highway One. Dogs on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed on the beach.

Dog Beach Name: Bean Hollow State Beach
Directions: Located 17.5 miles south of Half Moon Bay and 3 miles south of Pescadero on Highway One. Dogs on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed on the beach.

Marin County
Dogs are permitted at Marin County parks and facilities when restrained by a leash (dogs are not permitted at McNears Beach Park, Paradise Beach Park, and Stafford Lake Park).

Directions: Off of Esplanade Ave. and West Manor Drive, Pacifica CA 94044.

Point Reyes

Dog Beach Name: Point Reyes National Seashore: Kehoe Beach - north of the Kehoe Beach trail, Limantour Beach - southeast of the parking lot to the beach adjacent to Coast Camp; Point Reyes/Great Beach - from the North Beach parking lot to the south.
Additional Information: Due to threatened snowy plover habitat, pets are not allowed on the beach south of the trail at Kehoe Beach or on the beach to the north of the North Beach parking lot. During the elephant seal pupping and mating season (December through April), pets and humans are not allowed on the beach south of the South Beach parking lot.

Richmond

Dog Beach Name: Point Isabel Regional Shoreline

San Francisco

Dog Beach Name: Baker Beach (Golden Gate National Recreation Area) the north end of the beach.

Dog Beach Name: Crissy Field (Golden Gate National Recreation Area). Dogs are allowed off-leash on the beach.

Dog Beach Name: Fort Funston/Burton Beach (Golden Gate National Recreation Area). Dogs are allowed off-leash (excluding the 12-acre closure in northwest Ft. Funston and the northern end of the Coastal trail, closed due to erosion).

Dog Beach Name: Ocean Beach (Golden Gate National Recreation Area).

Directions: The beach runs parallel to the Great Highway (north of Fort Funston). There are several access points including Sloat Blvd., Fulton Street or Lincoln Way. This beach has a mix of off-leash and leash required areas. Dogs must be on leash on Ocean Beach between Sloat Blvd and Stairwell No. 21 (roughly at Fulton). North of Fulton to the Cliff House and South of Sloat for several miles are still okay for off-leash dogs, however parts of these areas may be impassible at high tide. The GGNRA stricly enforces the on-leash area between Sloat and Fulton. Dog Walking in Golden Gate National Recreation Area

Dog Beach Name: Tomales Bay: Chicken Ranch Beach (Sir Francis Drake Highway).

Directions: This beach is located on the right/water side of the highway. Dogs are allowed on the beach.
